The competition is held under the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">patronage of the World Organisation for Nonprofessional Film UNICA (Union<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Internationale du Cin\u00e9ma).<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The mission of the competition<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The main mission of the event is to present and support non-professional<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">(amateur) filmmaking, to activate and inspire non-professional (amateur) filmmakers<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and to stimulate the creation of films from the following thematic areas: culture, art,<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">ethnography, travel and films about mountains. Environmental problems and their<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">solutions are also mapped and the current way of life of people is recorded for future<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">generations. The event also makes it possible to bring the audience closer to cultural,<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">historical and technical monuments at home and abroad, to preserve for future<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">generations the testimony of disappearing crafts or customs, and to bring the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">audience closer to interesting places on our planet.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Organizing another year of the competition will contribute to preserving the continuity<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">of such thematically oriented work in Slovakia and will allow comparison with similarly<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">oriented works from abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">B. The course of the competition<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The competition is single-round and is open to any non professional (amateur)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">filmmaker, citizen of the Slovak Republic, as well as non-professional (amateur)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">filmmakers from abroad. The competition is divided according to age criteria and<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">thematic focus of the entries. Each competitor can enter his\/her works in individual<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">categories.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Competition categories<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>I. Culture and epoch-mark monuments<\/strong> \u2013 in this category, films<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">depicting history, cultural and technical monuments in their entirety,<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">especially folk culture, crafts, architecture, folk customs, folklore and<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">medallions of creative people compete.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>II. Creating and protecting the living environment<\/strong> \u2013 in this category,<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">films depicting natural beauty, films about the creation and protection of<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">nature (protected fauna, flora) and the environment (forests, water, soil,<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">air, ecotopes, waste treatment issues, etc.)<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>III. Contemporary way of life of people<\/strong> \u2013 films competing in this<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">category mainly portray the contemporary way of life of people of<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">different age and social groups in different agglomerations (solitudes,<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">seclusion, settlements, villages, cities) in an ethnographic manner<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>IV. Travel video-movies and video-movies about mountains<\/strong> &#8211;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">travelogues (including mountain hiking and sports)<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Feature films are not accepted!<\/span><\/h2>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Terms and conditions of participation<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Authors submit their video-movies directly to the address of the event&amp;#39;s<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">organizing guarantor.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Each author can submit a maximum of 2 video-movie for each competition<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">category.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The competition is open to non-professional (amateur) and non-commercial<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">films only.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The competition is open to authors <strong>not younger than 16 years<\/strong>.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The competition is not open to professional filmmakers.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The competition is not open to non-professional filmmakers (or students or<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">graduates of) coming from secondary and higher education institutions who<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">had\/have in their study programme a specialisation or subject focused on<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">television- or film-making.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The condition for accepting a film into the competition is a properly completed<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and submitted online application the Link to which is at the website of this film-<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition (<a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tatranskykamzik.sk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tatranskykamzik.sk<\/a>).<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 By submitting a film to the competition, the author expressly consents to the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">recording of his personal data specified in the application for the needs of the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tatra Chamois film competition and assumes all responsibility in the area of<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">copyright.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The competition video-movies will be judged by a pre-selection jury appointed<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">by the competition organiser.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Only those video-movies that correspond to the thematic focus of the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition and are of high artistic and technical quality will be included in the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition screening.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The announcer and organizers reserve the right to exclude from the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition works that violate human dignity, incite violence, spread hoaxes<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">and prejudices, or otherwise deny the values of humanity and humanism.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Only video-movies that have not participated in any previous years of this<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition will be accepted.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The selection jury reserves the right to limit the number of films due to time<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">constraints.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Authors will be informed about the results of the selection procedure by e-mail.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The results of the selection procedure will also be published on the filmdat.cz<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">website<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The <strong>recommended<\/strong> duration of competition video-movies is up to 20 minutes.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The #000000;\">Each submitted film must be accompanied by a dialogue list or subtitles in Slovak, Czech or English in .srt format with individual timecodes.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">If the Slovak or Czech film already has subtitles in English, an attached .srt file is not required.<\/span><\/h3>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Technical terms and conditions<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Only DVDs and flash drives will be accepted for the physical sending of films.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">When selecting a medium, please note that media will not be returned by post.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 For DVD media, only the DVD-video format will be accepted.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 All video-movies must have a frame rate of 25i, 25p, 50i or 50p.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Video formats: MP4, MPG2, AVI \u2013 must have a minimum resolution of 720 \u00d7<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">576, maximum 1920 \u00d7 1080.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Video-movies submitted in other formats may not be accepted into the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Both the video-movie file and the carrier (DVD\/CD) must contain at least: the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">title of the film, the name of the author, the place of residence.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The autor send the video-movie file to the adress of the competition organiser.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 The video-movie can also be sent via the data transfer service, as e.g. <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.uschovna.cz\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.uschovna.cz<\/a> or <a style=\"color: #000000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wetransfer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.wetransfer.com <\/a>or other similar portals, to the e-mail address indicated in the final provisions of these Regulations\/Statutes. <strong>Films without a completed and submitted application form will not be accepted.<\/strong><\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Each video-movie must be delivered as a separate file and must have a<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">minimum of 5 seconds of black at the beginning and end.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 Films placed on YouTube, Stream, Vimeo and similar servers will <strong>not<\/strong> be<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">downloaded and accepted.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Competition time schedule<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 <strong>15.10. 2025<\/strong> &#8211; application submission and video-movies delivery<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">deadline.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 <strong>by 3. 11. 2025<\/strong> &#8211; notification to authors of acceptance\/non-acceptance<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">of their video-movies.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\uf0b7 <strong>21. \u2013 23. 11. 2025<\/strong> &#8211; the date of the attendance competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Assessment\/Evaluation method<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The competition video-movies are evaluated by a five-member international<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">jury appointed by the organizing sponsor.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Awards<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The organiser will award one Main Prize &#8211; the Prize of the Mayor of Liptovsk\u00fd<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Hr\u00e1dok for the best film, the Prize of the Liptov Cultural Centre and in each category<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">will be proposed I., II. and III. prize and honourable mentions on the proposal of the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">jury. In addition, there will be proposed the Best Director Award, the Best Editing<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Award and the Best Cinematography (camera) Award.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To absent authors\/filmmakers-winners it will not be possible to hand-out prizes awarded to their films; object-prizes will not be sent by post or in any other way, either. However, they can pick them up<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">personally from the organizing guarantor by 31 March 2026. Absent authors will <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">receive a diploma and participation certificate via email.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The organizer has the right not to award any of the prizes or to redistribute them on<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">the proposal of the jury. Thanks to UNICA\u00b4s patronage, it will also be possible to<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">award a UNICA medal to the video-movie whose content most aptly depicts the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">alliance and cooperation between nations.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>\u00a0<\/h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Competition results<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">At the evaluation ceremony, the organisers will announce the results of the<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">competition and hand over prizes to the winners.
